Our Story
Blinded by crippling trauma after witnessing the unforeseen loss of my brother, my serene childhood and world as I knew it, rapidly collapsed into a perpetual state of desolation. Deaf, mute, and blind, I was incapable of envisioning a life, let alone a future, where I would exist as a single entity, without my role model and confidante. Until this day, I vividly recall the magnitude and heaviness of the emotional burden my mother carried following the catastrophic incident.
Overwhelming solace, as I walked into the salon, hand in hand with my mother. For me, time stopped. From the moment we entered, she was lavished and pampered like royalty. I observed her sorrows shed with every move of her stylist, and I felt it in every atom of my body. This was it; my calling. To attain a superpower unlike any other; the ability to interact with clients on a physical, mental, and emotional level, without any judgment or reservation.
Since then, I became a certified cosmetologist with specialty in Color, Extensions and Brazilian Blowout treatments; and since style is ever evolving, I made a commitment to life long continuing educational courses. With hundreds of hours under my belt, I stand confident at the forefront of the newest techniques, to bring my clients the hottest and newest trends.
The culmination of that journey led to the birth of Millie & Maz Co., a place where we give our clients the gift of empowerment through transformation. We aim to be the place of birth of the new YOU filled with happiness, self love, & confidence.

Meet Millie
My vision began in my early adolescent. My family was struck with a tragedy which took a toll on our family as a whole. Affecting my mother the most by it being my brother, her child who fell victim to an unforeseen and untimely accident which took him from us. After several years with my mother trying to cope with the loss and as people moved on, I noticed the events taking a strain on my mother the most. This is when she began to finally move past the incident by going to the salon and seek cosmetic health, I began to take notice.
I witnessed my mother walking out in a total opposite of what she walked in. I began to realize, not only with my mother, but other people walking in and walking out as I sat in the waiting area. I saw the raw talent that connected with people from the stylists to the clients sitting in their chair. They were able to connect not only on a physical level but on an emotional with their instant transformation. Every person walking in silently told a story and walked out changed and empowered. From that moment I strived to achieve my goal to be a huge influence in the beauty industry. I wanted to be part of that change that brought happiness, self love, confidence, acceptance, and beauty. No matter where life’s journey may take you, rest assured your stylist and friend awaits you.

Meet Huda Almaklani
My name is Huda Almaklani, I’m a licensed cosmetologist and have been practicing for over five years. I am certified in Brazilian Blowout, Keratin Complex, and Hair Extensions. Additionally, my services consist of hair cuts, formals, and conditioning treatments. I also specialize in hair color such as balayage, highlights, and ombré. My work has been featured in photo shoots, commercials and magazines. My art has captivated the beauty industry and captured the attention of industry leaders such as Sam Villa, Kertatin Complex, Georgiy Kot and Annette Waligora. I will continue to bring out the inner beauty of my clients making them feel good and confident.
